Village Veterinary Medical Center is a full-service companion animal veterinary hospital that has been serving the Knoxville community since 1981. They have a state-of-the-art new hospital featuring more than 10,000 square feet, a large reception with a client refreshment area, six large examination rooms, expansive runs, pet boarding, new laboratory equipment to run advanced diagnostics, a huge state-of-the-art surgery suite, and much more!

Katherine Baine, DVM DABVP (Avian)

Dr. Baine graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After graduation she completed a small animal rotating internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, FL and subsequently completed a 3-year Avian and Exotic Companion Mammal Residency at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She obtained board certification from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Practice. Dr. Baine was awarded the AAV Donald W Zantop Emerging Leader Award in 2015. Previous awards include AAV Resident Manuscript Winner 2013, AAV Student Manuscript Winner 2009, and Phi Zeta Excellence in Animal Health Research Award 2013. She has authored and co-authored over 15 publications including studies evaluating medication use in avian patients. Her special interests include preventative medicine, behavior, and surgery.
