Dr. Jessica Klein is a Sonoma County native, growing up in Healdsburg from the age of 7. She completed her B.S in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry and Biology and graduated cum laude from Chico State University. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2008 and promptly moved back to Sonoma County where she has been working ever since. Dr. Klein has a wide interest in animal species and has worked on farm animals, equine, reptiles, avian, zoo animals and pocket pets. She has found that her passion is working on clients furry family members though.
Dr. Matthew Carter wanted to be a veterinarian from a very early age. He graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, after first attending Long Beach City College and California State University Long Beach. Post-graduation he has also served on the Santa Rosa Junior College Registered Veterinary Technician Advisory Committee as well as teaching veterinary technology courses at SRJC. He has worked in both large and small animal areas including large dairies, beef and some equine practice, small and exotic pets, on-call emergency duty and general family pet practice. He realized that he most enjoyed meeting other members of his community and helping them with the health and needs of their furry family members. He is co-owner of Petaluma's Central Animal Hospital where he has repeatedly been voted the best veterinarian by the local community, as well as the Best of the North Bay Sonoma County veterinarian by the readers of the Bohemian.
