Dr. MacLean came to VCA Old Town Animal Hospital in 2000. Having returned to the medical director role after a few years' hiatus, Dr. MacLean is looking forward to continuing to help keep the practice focused on excellent patient and client care.
In addition to her passion for preventative care, dentistry and case development, Dr. MacLean is certified in Acupuncture and works with Chinese herbal medicine as well. Often she finds that the combination of "Western and Eastern" medicine provides the best possible care for her patients.
Dr. Rachel Colligan has an undergraduate degree from Northeast Louisiana University as a Medical Technologist, boarded by American Society of Clinical Pathologist. She worked for University of Louisiana and LSU School of Medicine until graduating from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She is Fear Free Certified to help your pet have the best possible visit to our office. She has a special interest in geriatric and internal medicine.
She enjoys sharing her Cajun culture and heirloom sewing, hand embroidery, and quilting for her family. She also volunteers for the Smithsonian Associates and enjoys hiking with her husband.
