Dr. Stacey Beddoe is originally from Springfield, MO. She graduated from Willard High School and then attended Drury University. While pursuing a BS degree in both Biology and Chemistry, she worked as a veterinary technician at Cottage Veterinary Hospital. She was admitted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of MO-Columbia after only 3 years at Drury. While in Vet School, she participated in the Raptor Rehabilitation program and still helps now as a medical advisor for the project. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. In July of 2007, she became the new owner of Southwest Animal Hospital. She attends Cornerstone Baptist Church where she is a member of the JOY puppet team. She and her husband are now licensed foster parents, so the number and age of the children living at home vary, but they are working toward adopting one of their foster kids, a young boy. Her 6 pets at home also keep her very busy; however, she still finds time for running, swimming, and movies.
