The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center (PESC) of San Diego is made up of two different animal hospitals---one is located in La Mesa, and the other in South County. Both hospitals are open 24/7 for emergency care to a wide range of animal species, including dogs, cats, birds (such as poultry), reptiles, exotic pets, and small animals.
Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Cecil worked as a zookeeper at the San Francisco Zoological Society where he developed a keen interest in exotic species. He received his Aquatic Veterinarian Certification in 2014. Dr. Cecil is very active in local organizations that support care, ownership, and rescue of exotic pets and wildlife.
