Toxic Oleander

Added April 6, 2021

Oleander (Nerium oleander) is an upright, rounded evergreen shrub or small tree. All parts of the plant contain toxic saponins and cardiac glycosides which are highly toxic to chickens, ducks, and other poultry. Oleander is known for its bright showy, usually pink flowers, and is commonly sold in nurseries and garden centers.

For additional information about oleander, please refer to our Oleander toxic plant page.
