Omega fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs)--specifically eicosapentaenoic (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). PUFAs mediate important cellular function such as inhibition of platelet function, prolongation of bleeding time, anti-inflammatory effects and reduction of plasma fibrinogen.

Typical Dosage: 0.1-0.2 ml/kg PO or added to food. Flaxseed oil mixed with corn oil at a ratio of 1:4 provides a ratio of omega-6:omega-3 fatty acids of 4-5:1.
