Lincomycin (Lincocin) is an oral or injectable antibiotic used to treat serious skin or bone infections in birds. The poultry industry has historically used it for treatment of necrotic enteritis in chickens, against Clostridium spp. Lincomycin HCl is currently only marked for use in poultry in Australia, where it is combined with Spectinomycin Sulphate.
Typical Dosage: 1/8 - 1/4 tsp/pint of drinking water.
Egg Withdrawal Period: Ranges from 1 to 10 days withdrawal period for eating eggs, depending on the form of the drug used.
