Lincomycin (Lincocin) is a type of antibiotic used to treat serious infections in poultry, due to susceptible strains of streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci. It is most known for its use in treatment of necrotic enteritis in chickens, against Clostridium spp. Lincomycin HCl is currently only marked for use in poultry in Australia, where it is combined with Spectinomycin Sulphate.
Typical Dosage: 1/8 - 1/4 tsp/pint of drinking water.
Egg Withdrawal Period: Ranges from 1 to 10 days withdrawal period for eating eggs, depending on the form of the drug used.
