Dictamnus dasycarpus

Rutaceae (Dictamnus dasycarpus Turcz) extract (DDE) is a Traditional Chinese herb, known as Bai Xian Pi. It is categorized for its ability to provide clear heat and clean toxin. Rutaceae is known to contain over 170 chemical compounds, which include quinoline alkaloids, limonoids, sesquiterpenes, coumarins, flavonoids and steroids. Exercise caution with this herb, as it has evidence of causing liver damage.

Antiinflammatory: The root bark is beneficial for the treatment of certain allergic skin diseases.

Anticoccidiosis: Research conducted by Hong et al. 2014 demonstrated that chickens receiving 0.1% of feed with DDE significantly reduced fecal oocysts and improved body weight loss caused by Eimeria tenella infection.
