Dr. Alissa Tepedino is our newest Associate Veterinarian to join the Tampa Veterinary Hospital medical team. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Tepedino attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her veterinary education doing her clinical year at the University of Florida.
Dr. Tepedino has a special affinity for exotic species, including reptiles, amphibians and aquatic species. She looks forward to the opportunity to see a variety of both traditional and non-traditional pets at Tampa Veterinary Hospital. She is also a certified wildlife rehabber, and has a tremendous passion for wildlife rescue organizations in addition to pet rescue groups. She is also working towards her aquatic veterinary certification through the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association.
Her love for all things aquatic makes her a perfect fit for the Tampa area. She enjoys scuba diving and is looking forward to when she can spend some time exploring our local marine life. Her Coconut Retriever loves going for walks, and is excited about the prospect of taking long strolls along the Riverwalk and Bayshore. Dr. Tepedino someday hopes to add exotic pets to her home, including a Panther Chameleon, a uromastyx and axolotl. All very unique species!
