Jennifer lived in Carrollton as a child, attended Isle of Wight Academy, then graduated with a BS in Biology from JMU in 1995. She then attended Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at VA Tech, graduating in 1999. Dr. Sanderson practiced veterinary medicine in Virginia and Tennessee before finally returning home. Although her family no longer lives in Carrollton, it will always be her home. Jennifer lives in Carrollton, Virginia with her husband, Jamie, and two daughters, Briley Kate and Kinley Paige.
Dr. Sara Ray is originally from Roanoke, VA, but she has lived in the Hampton Roads area since she graduated from veterinary school. Sara graduated with a BS in Biology from Longwood College in 1993. Then she worked for a year in an endocrinology research lab at UVA Medical School. Dr. Ray graduated in 1998, from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at VA Tech. Dr. Ray has practiced at two other small animal clinics in Hampton Roads area for 14 years, then she did relief work before coming to Cypress Creek. During her 4 years of relief work, she primarily performed high volume spay/neuter surgeries at local SPCA’s and other low-cost clinics. Sara lives in Suffolk, with her two children, Alicia and Jackson, as well as her four 4-legged pets. In her spare time, Dr. Ray supports her children’s school events or sports at IWA. She also enjoys reading novels, yard work, home improvements and making stained glass.
