Administration of the former Department of Environmental Conservation's (DEC) Environmental Laboratory has been moved to the Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets and it is now called the Vermont Agriculture and Environmental Laboratory (VAEL). The lab is located in Burlington, Vermont on the University of Vermont Campus. VAEL provides high quality analytical support to divisions in the DEC, other departments in the Agency of Natural Resources and state government as well as other publicly funded environmental management and protection programs.
