Mirror

Research conducted by Montevecchi et al., 1978 revealed that isolated chicks exhibit responses to a mirror similar to those seen in the presence of a conspecific. Broom 1969 found that reaction to novel change was less in birds whose rearing conditions had been made more complex by the presence of a moving object or mirror.
