Sodium sulfate

Sodium sulfate, also known as sulfate of soda, disodium sulfate, or Glauber's salt, is a decahydrate and has historically been used as a laxative. It is sometimes used in cases of heavy metal poisoning to prevent absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. However, it should never be used in cases where birds may have an impaired gastrointestinal tract or are dehydrated.
