Bambermycin (flavomycin) is a group of antibiotics obtained from Streptomyces bambergiensis and Streptomyces ghanaensis. Bambermycin is predominately effective against Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria. It is used by the commercial poultry industry, in broilers, for the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria species. It is sold under multiple trade names.
