Cayuga

The only duck breed developed in the United States, the Cayuga originated near Cayuga Lake in New York State. Cayuga ducks are a uniform black color which appear greenish when the light hits their feathers. As Cayugas age, they become almost entirely white after several years. This changing of colors occurs much quicker in females than males. In addition, their black legs turn more orangish in color as they age.
