Appenzeller Spitzhauben

The Appenzeller Spitzhauben is a small to medium-sized chicken from Switzerland. It has a large crest on the top of its head, similar but smaller then that seen in the Polish chicken breeds. They are known to be active foragers and cold-hardy. In the United States, this breed is prone to developing lymphoid leukosis.
